See this movie if...it's January or because you have a very loose definition of a Christmas movie.
Don't see this movie if...you want to see good acting and you want to see a Christmas movie.
The Christmas Wedding Planner is not a Christmas movie. It just isn't. It happens around Christmas, they say the word Christmas, but it is not about anything related to Christmas. So I refuse to give it a proper review. I just won't.
You might be saying, "Whit, you said A Christmas Prince was not about Christmas and you still reviewed and enjoyed that movie! Now you're a freaking hypocrite! Can I trust anything you say? I'm telling Santa and all you'll get is coal in your stocking."
Well, thank you. I live in a cold place and coal will help me keep warm in the long cold winter. This is why I review holiday movies. Winter is so long here that it feels like the Christmas holidays start in October and I'm ready for eggnog and Will Ferrell to dress up in a green elf costume.
To address your concern, it is true that I gave a proper and good review to A Christmas Prince. It was a decent movie and I guess that is the main difference. Both say Christmas in the title, but one was a fun holi-com (holiday comedy copywritten by me) and the other had acting so bad that I wished it was on TV so I could watch the commercials to see some good acting during those wasted 86 minutes of my life.
So, no, Christmas Wedding Planner, you don't get a full review. And to anyone who reads this, be warned, this is not a Christmas movie and it is not nearly good enough to fool you otherwise. If you are looking for a Christmas or just a good movie...you should look somewhere else.
If you don't care ...then you should watch The Holiday Calendar.
